Age-u-cate® Training Institute strives to deliver easy-to-learn educational programs to elevate care, compassion, and empathy for those living with dementia through two signature programs. Dementia Live® is an innovative, high impact, dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it is like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory change through powerful empowerment educational tools for family members, healthcare staff, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate Touch® is an approach combining gentle and empathetic skilled touch and specialized communication shown to prevent behavioral expression in people with dementia, reduce the need for the use of psychotropic drugs, and reduce job stress in care-partners.
