ABOUT

The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative is a network of leaders in the community, health and wellness, government, advocacy, research, business, education, and philanthropy who have come together to advance healthy aging.

Supportive communities are necessary to achieve healthy aging. The Collaborative has adopted a multi-dimensional model that aligns with the World Health Organization’s definition of active aging, supporting activities that “optimize opportunities for health, participation, and security in order to enhance the quality of life as people age.”

Our Mission
Believing that strong and healthy communities include older adults of all ages and abilities, we collaborate through networking, communication, and information sharing to optimize opportunities for health, participation, and security to enhance the quality of life as people age.

Our Vision
Massachusetts is an emerging national leader in vibrant age-friendly communities with a focus on older adults.
