Affordable transportation is the key to healthy aging. Northern Essex Elder Transport, Inc (NEET) recruits volunteers to provide transportation for elders in 14 communities: Amesbury, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Lawrence, Merrimac, Methuen, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, Rowley, Salisbury and West Newbury. NEET is a non profit that reimburses over 100 drives with mileage expense and supplemental insurance. NEET does not charge elders for transportation but donations are welcome.
