Commitment to advancing healthy aging:
The Fuss Center has been working with organizations involved in the Age-Friendly University (AFU) initiative, including the Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE), the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and the Massachusetts Gerontology Association (MGA), in collaboration with global AFU organizers at Dublin City University (DCU) in Ireland. In this capacity the Fuss Center aims to work to raise awareness in higher education about the needs of aging populations and how our colleges and universities can be more age-inclusive in extending educational access and aging education. This work complements MHAC’s age-friendly efforts, and extends them to an important community component.
