MCA@MHAC

The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative is proud to continue the work of the Multicultural Coalition on Aging (MCA@MHAC).

Originally founded in 1994 and housed at Hebrew SeniorLife, the coalition was comprised of nearly 70 agencies and organizations – in addition to private citizen volunteers – at its peak. The group was dedicated to the delivery of culturally appropriate care, including educational, clinical and research programs for older adults.

Now, MHAC is working to embed access, equity and inclusion within the Age- and Dementia Friendly movement so that communities that commit to the process have tools and resources to ensure their efforts will have a positive impact on all people of that city, town, or region.

  • See news from MHAC and our network relative to access, equity and inclusion here.
  • MHAC will soon be releasing a guide for age- and dementia friendly communities on how the process can be more inclusive and promote equity.
  • MHAC is working to revamp membership in a new MCA@MHAC, and interested organizations can contact James Fuccione for more information.
