Massachusetts Office on Disability Offers Guides on Improving Physical Accessibility in Communities

The Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) can help people learn about disability rights and architectural access regulations relating to physical access to buildings, streetscapes, and amenities. This can be especially useful for communities working to become more age-friendly and that look to improve access to public buildings and spaces.

MOD can provide a range of supports that include training for local accessibility advocates on how to survey properties for compliance with accessibility regulations (CAM training and advanced CAM training). MOD can also perform site visits to check municipal buildings and streetscapes comply with accessibility regulations.
