The Milken Institute released a new publication, The Future of Aging and Longevity: A Decade of Progress, A Decade to Act, a collection of essays, expert commentary, and interviews exploring aging and longevity from more than 50 leaders across sectors and disciplines.
The report brings together intergenerational perspectives, reflecting 10 years of progress in aging and longevity and outlining priorities and solutions for the decade ahead.
The report is centered on four key themes—invest, build, shift, and connect—and functions as a working resource to offer a shared reference point for policy priorities; frameworks for redesigning retirement, workplaces, and education; models for integrated, whole-person care; evidence to support advocacy and program design for caregivers; and a map of where cross-sector investment can accelerate progress.
Designed as both a retrospective and a call to action for policymakers, industry, and nonprofit leaders, the report examines topics including scientific advancements, long-term care and caregiving, financial security in retirement, workforce participation among older adults, and the role of innovative finance in scaling solutions for an aging population.
