Produced by AARP Livable Communities with the RL Mace Universal Design Institute, the new AARP Housing Design Competition Tool Kit explains how a design contest can be a stepping stone for developing housing that’s both needed and suitable for people of all ages.

As the toolkit explains, an event like a housing design competition can inspire policy change, raise awareness around housing issues, and potentially create energy and consensus for more housing options like Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
