Fresh off a recent report card from the League of American Bicyclists that ranked Massachusetts as a most bike-friendly state, a partnership between MassBike and AARP Massachusetts is looking to go further by promoting bicycling for older adults.
According to MassMobility, MassBike and AARP Massachusetts are teaming up for a virtual workshop followed by in-person events in Worcester. The two organizations are building on the success of a pilot program in Cambridge that involved a “Healthy Aging and Cycling Workshop Series” and in-person opportunities such as a weekly summer bike ride to offer older adults a supportive, social opportunity to practice.
