Age-Friendly Funding Alert: FY 2021 Community Transit Grant Program

The MassDOT Transit Unit has announced that the FY2021 Community Transit Grant Program Application Cycle is scheduled to open in May 2020.

The Community Transit Grant Program is MassDOT’s annual competitive grant program to distribute Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310: Enhanced Mobility of Seniors & Individuals with Disabilities funds, and State Mobility Assistance Program funds. The application trainings for this year’s grant cycle will be mandatory for all new applicants. Previous CTGP awardees are also welcome to attend.  There will be two online trainings held on Tuesday, May 5th and Thursday, May 7th  from 10am-12pm. MassDOT is asking all participants to RSVP to Jenna Henning at jennifer.n.henning@state.ma.us by Friday, May 1st.

This year’s application period is scheduled to open on Friday, May 8th, 2020 and close at 5:00pm on Friday, June 26th, 2020. The application will be submitted in the MassDOT Transit Unit’s online grants management system, GrantsPlus+. Applicants are encouraged to leave ample time to submit their applications prior to the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
