The National Aging and Disability Transportation Center is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity, Innovations in Accessible Mobility. Grants of up to $30,000 each will be awarded to as many as 10 communities for a six-month period. Local or regional private nonprofit or government organizations that directly provide transportation services may apply.
NADTC will support the implementation of “ready-to-launch” innovations to increase accessible transportation options for older adults and people with disabilities living in the community. Projects must be ready to implement on Day One and be completed within six months. Through this grant program, NADTC particularly wants to target communities that have developed good ideas for increasing the availability or accessibility of transportation services but lack the funding to make those ideas a practical reality.
The application due date is April 8, 2020. The six-month grants are expected to begin May 15, 2020. To learn more about this funding opportunity, please visit the grant opportunities page on the NADTC website
