The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) board voted to release the Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (Coordinated Plan) for a 15-day public comment period on September 21 and concluding on October 6, 2023.
Updated every four years, the Coordinated Plan was developed with input from the public, transit providers, human service organizations, and other stakeholders. The plan supports improved coordination of transportation services for older adults and people with disabilities and identifies unmet transportation needs, strategies to address them, and priorities for implementation. Existing transportation services that operate in the Boston region can be viewed in this online map.
Review the plan and submit your feedback to Transportation Equity Program Manager Betsy Harvey, eharvey@ctps.org.
In other parts of the state, regional MPOs may have similar opportunities available to weigh in on draft transportation plans. You can find the MPO that covers your area here and find if they have a community engagement process on a pending plan.
