An evening listening session on September 7th at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South Brockton Clubhouse will begin a statewide tour with regional events scheduled throughout the month.
In addition to focus groups being held across the state and a survey available to the public, the listening sessions will inform the development of federal funding plans that will help Massachusetts access broadband and digital equity funding from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. It was announced earlier this summer that Massachusetts would receive $147 million from the national Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program overseen by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
Aside from Brockton, the following listening sessions have been announced and the Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative encourages age- and dementia friendly stakeholders to promote and attend.
