On June 13, 2023, Secretary of Economic Development, Yvonne Hao, announced the Internet for All Listening Tour, a series of interactive in-person and virtual meetings to inform the Commonwealth’s State Digital Equity Plan and 5 Year Action Plan. These activities will unlock funding for broadband and digital equity investments under the Federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative is proud to be on the Mass Broadband Institute (MBI) statewide Digital Equity Working Group to help amplify this process and encourage stakeholders in our statewide network to participate.
These events are an opportunity for the public to share their experiences, ideas, and vision for a connected Commonwealth. Participants will learn more about the two Internet For All programs: Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) and Digital Equity Act (DEA). Attendees will also be asked for public input on the development of plans.
Any stakeholder can complete the Digital Equity Survey here (available in multiple languages) or add a program to MBI’s Digital Equity Asset Map here.
More information about the process is available on MBI’s website.
