The Mass Broadband Institute has added several regional listening sessions that represent an opportunity for older adults and age/dementia friendly stakeholders to provide input for a statewide digital equity plan.
Overall, the listening sessions will inform the development of federal funding plans that will help Massachusetts access broadband and digital equity funding from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. It was announced earlier this summer that Massachusetts would receive $147 million from the national Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program overseen by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
A list of upcoming listening sessions being held in different regions of the state are below and MBI is working to add an event in Central Massachusetts as well.
