Join Taskforce to End Loneliness and Build Community for Oct. 1 Summit

Join the Taskforce to End Loneliness and Build Community on Thursday, October 1st for a state-wide summit to disseminate information about raising public awareness, growing intergenerational opportunities and specific strategies to build community in a variety of ways.

The content of this event comes directly from regional listening and learning that the Taskforce completed in the Spring of 2020 as cities and towns around the state were grappling with a new element of social isolation: the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative is part of the Taskforce and it’s various subgroups and the work is coordinated by AARP Massachusetts and the Gerontology Institute at UMass-Boston. A resource with local examples gathered during the regional (virtual) listening sessions that are addressing isolation, loneliness and building community will be shared at the summit.
