Join Us for ‘Celebrating Community Strength’ Event to Release ReiMAgine Aging’s Year Two Progress Report

May 12, 2021

On Thursday, May 27th from 10:30 to 11:30 AM we will be holding a virtual celebration to recognize Older Americans Month and release the Massachusetts ReiMAgine Aging: Year Two Progress Report.

Cohosted with the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, AARP Massachusetts, Tufts Health Plan Foundation, Massachusetts Councils on Aging, Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley-North Shore, and others, we will celebrate the strength of communities, hear from community leaders in the age- and dementia- friendly movement and see highlights from the Massachusetts Age-Friendly Year Two progress report.

Massachusetts continued to add communities to the age- and dementia friendly network during the pandemic and witnessed a range of innovative partnerships that offered support to older adults. AARP’s Livable Communities Newsletter highlighted some of this work from Boston and New Bedford. A more in-depth view of community collaboration and adjustments can be seen in a report from FSG and supported by the Tufts Health Plan Foundation called How Innovative Community Responses to COVID-19 Support Healthy Aging.”
