The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative encourages communities and stakeholders engaged in the age- and dementia friendly movement to check out the criteria for the AARP Purpose Prize and the NCOA Trailblazers in Aging Award, and submit a nomination!

The AARP^® Purpose Prize^® award is a national award that celebrates people 50 and older who are using their life experience to make a difference. Through the Purpose Prize award, AARP celebrates the creativity, innovation, and inspiration that life experience brings. The call for applications is open through February 28, 2023.

Each AARP Purpose Prize Winner’s founded 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization will receive $50,000. In addition, once the five (5) Winners are identified, each of them will then have the opportunity to enter into the AARP Inspire Award Contest where the general public will be invited to vote and select the AARP Inspire Award Winner (For more details about the AARP Inspire Award Contest, visit www.aarp.org/InspireAward on July 28, 2022)

NCOA’s Trailblazers in Aging Awards recognize individuals and organizations around the country who are working toward a just and caring society that allows all of us to age with dignity, purpose, and security. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 17 @ 5 p.m. ET.
