The Boston Region MPO is developing a roadmap to safer streets to outline the steps to achieve Vision Zero for the 97 cities and towns in their region – and your input is critical to the success of the Action Plan.
Vision Zero is an internationally recognized strategy to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries. Vision Zero declares that all traffic deaths and severe injuries on our roads are unacceptable and takes a systemic approach to reduce the severity of crashes and to eliminate deaths on our streets.
The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative encourages age- and dementia friendly community partners to participate in the development of the Action Plan:
- Take less than ten minutes to fill out the transportation safety concerns survey. This survey data will help the Vision Zero Action Plan project team understand the perspectives and safety concerns of residents and people traveling through the Boston Region. The survey is available in English, Spanish (Español), Brazilian Portuguese (Português), Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt), Traditional Chinese (漢語), Simplified Chinese (汉语), and Haitian Creole (Kreyòl Ayisyen).
- Tell us where you feel unsafe in the interactive map. If you have a location-specific transportation concern on one of the roads in the Boston Region, let the Vision Zero Action Plan project team know!
- Visit the project website and sign up for updates to stay informed of additional feedback opportunities as the Action Plan progresses: bostonmpovisionzero.com
- Please spread the word to your family members, friends, neighbors, and anyone else you know who lives, works, or travels through the Boston Region.
