The Taskforce to End Loneliness and Build Community facilitated by AARP Massachusetts and the Gerontology Institute at UMass Boston is hosting a series of regional (virtual) conversations that will help the group, which includes MHAC, promote socially inclusive communities.
Before Coronavirus, loneliness and social isolation had been labeled a critical public health issue. Stay-at-home orders have magnified this issue and raised public awareness of its negative impact. What we need now are solutions for building connections and community!
Our regional hosts include Madeline Noonan (Cape Cod), Peg McDonough (Berkshires), Andrea Burns (Boston), and Sabrina Feldeisen (Lowell).
