The Taskforce to End Loneliness and Build Community facilitated by AARP Massachusetts and the Gerontology Institute at UMass Boston, which includes the Mass. Healthy Aging Collaborative, is hosting a state-wide summit to disseminate information about raising public awareness, growing intergenerational opportunities and specific strategies to build community in a variety of ways.
The content of this event comes directly from the regional listening and learning that the Taskforce completed in the Spring of 2020 as cities and towns around the state were grappling with a new element of social isolation: the COVID-19 pandemic.
- “The Innovation Ecosystem: Solutions for Family Caregivers” – MassTech & Massachusetts Caregiver Coalition (Mass Business Roundtable)
October 8th from 1:00-2:30 PM: Join the MassTech Collaborative and the Massachusetts Caregiver Coalition for the first in a series of discussions about innovation in family caregiving. As the COVID-19 pandemic has stretched on, the strain on family caregivers across the United States has become more and more apparent, and it is critical that we work together to adopt the best existing techniques and invent new policies and technologies to support caregivers.
Are you an innovator exploring opportunities to support caregivers, an executive looking to better understand and support the caregivers on your team, or a family caregiver yourself who wants to understand the landscape of innovation? Join this group as they start a conversation focused on innovating to recognize, honor, and support family caregivers.
You will hear from leaders such as Grace Whiting, CEO of the National Alliance for Caregiving; Alexandra Drane, Co-founder and CEO of ARCHANGELS; and Nancy Costikyan, Director of the Office of Work/Life at Harvard University.
