This year’s Older Adult Behavioral Health Network (OABHN) conference, presented in collaboration with the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership, will focus on practice, policy and partnership in the aging and behavioral health fields. Join us to:
- Discover how behavioral health and aging professionals can learn from one another and work together more effectively
- Explore whole-person approaches that promote positive behavioral health and overall well-being in later life
- Identify best practices for coordinated care across the continuum – from crisis intervention through recovery

- Who Cares? These Employers Do! Building a Caregiver-Friendly Workplace, hosted by Massachusetts Caregiver Coalition as part of the “Lunch & Learn” Series, (virtual) June 2nd at noon.
This discussion moderated by JD Chesloff of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable with panelists Stacy Kahn (Pediatric Gastroenterologist, Boston Children’s Hospital), Marie Beam (CEO, Discovery Museum), and Mia Healy-Waldron (Deputy Director of Aviation Customer Service, MassPort) will discuss how they and their organizations/companies have made strides to prioritize the needs of caretakers that they interact with on a daily basis.

- The Power of Early-Detection: Stories, Diagnosis, and What Comes Next, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association of MA/NH, (virtual) June 15, 2026 6:00-7:00 PM
An early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease can empower individuals and families with time—time to understand, plan, connect to support, and make informed choices. In this virtual panel discussion, people living with dementia will share their experiences of early symptoms, the diagnostic process, and the impact of receiving a diagnosis. The program will also explore the Alzheimer’s Screening
and Prevention Act, highlighting how policy efforts can strengthen early detection and improve the diagnostic experience. Together, we’ll explore how early awareness leads to better outcomes and greater dignity for those affected.

- Take Charge of Your Brain Health: An Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month Series, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association of MA/NH, (virtual) June 17th at 6:00 PM
June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, and the Alzheimer’s Association, in partnership with AARP Massachusetts, is offering a free virtual series about brain health. The program will kick off with Building Brain Healthy Habits on June 3rd at noon. Special spotlight sessions on different components of brain health will follow. On June 9th at noon, a panel of experts will discuss Exercise, Balance, and Fall Prevention for Brain Health. On June 15th at noon, a registered dietitian will present Food for Thought: Supporting Brain Health through Nutrition. On June 17th at 6:00 PM, a chef shares her ideas and a cooking demonstration to Eat Smart, Live Well: Brain-Healthy Cooking Made Delicious.
The virtual series will wrap up with Dr. Hugo Aparicio, vascular neurologist at Boston Medical Center, and Dr. Olouchi Ekenze, Assistant Professor of Neurology at BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, who will talk about vascular dementia.
