ASA RISE: Nominate an Emerging Leader

The American Society on Aging (ASA) is accepting applications for Cohort 6 of ASA RISE, a six-month, equity-centered leadership program for emerging leaders of color working to reimagine aging systems and reframe narratives and services in their communities through a justice lens.

Rooted in the values of racial equity, age justice, and community empowerment, ASA RISE cultivates a new generation of changemakers equipped to lead with courage, cultural insight, and a deep commitment to advancing equity in aging.

Over 24 weeks, participants will attend virtual and in-person sessions focused on leadership development, advocacy, social justice, narrative change and systems transformation. The program also includes mentorship and coaching from leaders in aging, health, policy, and justice.

Professionals working in aging services, policy, long-term care, public health, social work, housing, disability advocacy, philanthropy, and community-based or intergenerational programs are encouraged to apply.

Program dates: January 13-June 23, 2027
