Age-Friendly Funding Alert: MassDevelopment Relaunches Commonwealth Places

Oct 16, 2019

MassDevelopment is excited to announce the creative funding program, Commonwealth Places, in partnership with the crowdfunding platform Patronicity to help improve public spaces around the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Commonwealth Places, a collaborative initiative from MassDevelopment and Patronicity, is a crowdgranting challenge program to activate new or distressed public places and community spaces. The program is open to municipalities and nonprofits to improve low- and moderate-income communities in Massachusetts.

Applications to the Commonwealth Places program will be reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis.

MassDevelopment works to stimulate economic growth across the Commonwealth to help create jobs, increase the number of housing units, revitalize urban environments, and improve quality of life.

In order to allow for review, feedback, and a full 60 days for crowdfunding, MassDevelopment suggest that your team submit an Expression of Interest form no later than December 15, 2019 and a Full Application no later than January 15, 2020. There is no guarantee that applications received after these dates can be processed for Fiscal Year 2020 funding.
