Age-Friendly Job Alert: MA Councils on Aging, MA Public Health Association Staff Openings

The Massachusetts Councils on Aging have announced two opportunities to join the association’s staff supporting the councils across the state. Please see these opportunities below and pass along to any who may be interested.

MCOA–Director of Member Services II

Under the supervision of the MCOA Executive Director and in coordination with the other Member Services Director this position will:

  1. Implement support services in conjunction of the Agencies’ Major and Additional Focuses;
  2. Coordinate with each of our six Work Groups to set a statewide training date(s) to meet the needs of said group: Outreach, Wellness, Programming, New Directors, Volunteer Coordinators, and COA Board;
  3. Review, update, and or create training manuals for each of these work groups;
  4. Coordinate MCOA’s Membership Meetings;
  5. Assist with MCOA’s Fall and Spring Conferences;

MCOA–Director of Member Services- Nutrition

Under the supervision of the MCOA Executive Director and in coordination with the other Member Services Director this position will:
1. Implement support services in conjunction of the Agencies’ Major Focus on Nutrition;
2. ID existing services provided by municipal COAs/ update COA inventory.
ID and actively participate with coalitions targeting malnutrition within the older adult cohort.
3. ID existing resources including support services provided by EOEA.
4. ID gaps and target zones (food deserts).
5. Convene a Nutrition Advisory Council to guide this project and set measurable outcomes. Initially, we anticipate this to be statewide but the need for regional/local Advisory Councils may be desirable.

MPHA Development and Communications Manager

The Communications and Development Manager is a new position and will be a core part of the MPHA Team focusing on assuring that MPHA has the resources to pursue its mission and that our messaging and materials emerge from our values and engage a wide range of stakeholders.  The selected candidate will be committed to our mission and excited to engage donors and stakeholders in our work.
