A campaign from AARP to “Protect 50+ Voters” provides important election information for each state and serves as a reminder that the deadline to register for the primaries in Massachusetts is quickly approaching on August 22nd.
As stated on the Massachusetts state page on the AARP campaign website, the secretary of the commonwealth’s website allows you to register and update your address and party affiliation.
You’ll be able to vote by mail or in person. Applications for mail-in ballots must be received by Aug. 26. Election officials must receive the ballots before 8 p.m. on Sept. 1.
Early in-person primary voting will begin at certain polling locations on Aug. 22 and run through Aug. 28. Contact your election office to determine where and when to cast your ballot.
