Aug 19, 2020

Through the leadership of the Boston Age Strong Commission, and in partnership with a list of municipal departments, transportation providers and dedicated community-based organizations, the city stitched together an innovative response to food access needs during COVID-19.

The National League of Cities (NLC) recently highlighted this work in their news blog, “CitiesSpeak.”

According to the article, 2,500 individuals are now receiving biweekly boxes of fresh produce that contain a variety of fruits and vegetables thanks to the collaboration of this broad set of partners.
