MassHealth continues to hold public meetings to relay information about a shift to a new system of provider-led organizations called Accountable Care Organizations, or ACOs, which are accountable for a population, based on members who have chosen a Primary Care Clinician that is part of the ACO.
The meeting agenda will include a high level overview of eight initiatives within MassHealth’s Statewide Investments (SWI), which is a $115 million funding stream over five years under the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program. In total, DSRIP includes $1.8 billion to support MassHealth reforms.
The meeting will also include in-depth reviews of an initiative focused on healthcare workforce development, a technical assistance program for ACOs and “Community Partners,” and an initiative focused on improving provider readiness for MassHealth ACO engagement.
