After the former Equity in Aging Workgroup revamped the Healthy Aging for All Guide to help advance equity in age and dementia friendly communities and hosted a webinar series on supporting diverse caregivers, the Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative relaunched its Equity in Aging initiative as a learning collaborative.

The kick-off webinar featured research from nine Boston-area communities on how urban planning and community development shape caregiving experiences.

The presenter, Andrew Binet (they/them), is an Assistant Professor in the School of Community and Regional Planning at the University of British Columbia, but completed their PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowship at MIT, and co-led the Healthy Neighborhoods Study which explores how neighborhood change shapes community health across the Boston metropolitan area.
