Each spring, first-year Masters students in the Tufts Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning (UEP) department must complete the Field Projects course, where students work in teams of 5-6 on projects hosted by real-world partners. Field Projects integrates theory and practice by providing graduate students with the opportunity to work on real-world challenges with government, nonprofit, community, and private sector partners.
Tufts is looking to develop approximately 12 projects for next spring 2027 (mid-January to mid-May) and will review ideas submitted by Friday, September 4, 2026. Communities looking to become more age- and dementia friendly have an opportunity to gain support from this program.

After review, 12-15 organizations will be selected to work more intensively with Tufts to develop full project proposals by the end of October. Even if you have submitted a proposal in the past that was not selected, or have been a project host in the past, please consider proposing again!
