Age-Friendly Funding Alert: MCC Cultural Facilities Fund

Having access to arts and cultural opportunities is an important part of communities and regions being healthy and engaging places for people of all ages. The Cultural Facilities Fund has supported 617 capital projects and 259 planning projects in 216 cities and towns across Massachusetts that have created such access. The Arts and Human Development

 In 2011, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) hosted a convening to showcase studies and evidence-based programs that have identified outcomes from arts interventions. The resulting white paper proposes a framework for long-term collaboration among the NEA, HHS, and other federal agencies to build capacity for future research and evidence-sharing about the arts’ role in human development.
