In-person and virtual listening sessions were held over the summer to gather feedback on refreshing the Massachusetts Age and Dementia Friendly Action Plan. A survey to collect additional input, especially to those unable to attend the listening sessions, is available here until August 31st.
Led by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, Massachusetts is working to refresh an action plan to guide the state’s age- and dementia-friendly actions for the next 5-10 years. The action plan serves as the state’s multi-year strategy to make the Commonwealth more age- and dementia-friendly. From the beginning, this action plan was designed to be a living document that would be continuously updated and renewed over time. Becoming more age- and dementia-friendly is an ongoing process that requires direction from residents and community partners.
More information on the current plan and annual progress reports – including an audio/podcast report highlighting best practices from across the state – is available here.
