Check out the following upcoming events from partners of the Massachusetts Healthy Aging Collaborative:

On February 13 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. the Point32Health Foundation team will share updates on their Equity in Aging investment focus and grantmaking. The Foundation is excited to begin this focus in earnest and work with organizations that are improving conditions affecting older adults and advancing social and racial justice. Join this webinar to learn how, together, we are addressing the root causes of health disparities and advocating to eliminate systemic barriers. The session will include dates for the Foundation’s new funding cycles, an overview of the Foundation’s 2025 focus and presentations from community based organizations currently receiving funding.

This in-person program will feature a presentation by Dr. Carl Hill, Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer for the Alzheimer’s Association, and an opportunity to share your concerns and ideas about Alzheimer’s, dementia, and brain health. There will be resources available from the Age Strong Commission and the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter.  A free lunch catered by Fresh Food Generations will be served.  Everyone will have an opportunity to win raffle prizes.

  • Attend an ‘Dementia Friends’ Information Session with an Indigenous perspective

February 4, 2025, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm on Zoom. Attend this specialized Dementia Friends information session with an indigenous perspective, led by Champion Reverend Dr. Sandy Range. Dr. Range is a retired psychotherapist with 40+ years of experience. She is a Tsalagi Medicine Elder and Initiated Q’ero Shaman, and Ancestral Lineage Healing practitioner, a Reiki Master, Meditation Teacher, and Therapeutic Life and Wellness Coach. She founded the Grandmothers’ Village Project for housing elders of color. Register here.

Become a Dementia Friends Champion and learn about how to lead an information session for your community at a free, 3-hour volunteer training. Champion trainings are in English and upon account approval, you will receive access to all of our adapted and translated materials in 9 languages.
