White House Launches GetInternet.Gov to Improve Broadband Access

May 11, 2022

Building on the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which provides eligible households $30 per month off their internet bills,  the White House announced that they negotiated voluntary commitments from 20 internet providers to offer high speed internet services at no cost to ACP beneficiaries.

As part of the announcement, a website called GetInternet.Gov has been established to promote information and applications for the ACP to get more people who are eligible to sign up.

All the relevant info, including how to find out if a person is eligible, is available on the ACP website under the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
