EOEA Compiles Legal Resources for Low Income Elders

The Executive Office of Elder Affairs has collected information resources related to legal services for low-income elder consumers and established a helpful guide.

The document, available only for the state of Massachusetts, contains a helpful glossary of terms, phone numbers and links to where older adults, their families and those working on their behalf can access information related to General Legal Service Resources, Title III-B Legal Service Providers, Court Service Centers and Training/Education Resources for Professionals.

MAPC Technical Assistance Program and Invitation to Join ‘MetroCommon’ Advisory Group

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is soliciting ideas for individual community-specific projects and for multi-community projects that will commence in 2018. This presents another opportunity from the Healthy Aging Collaborative’s regional planning partners for Age-Friendly Communities where there is overlap.

Projects that serve multiple communities always receive preference; projects that advance the MetroFuture priorities of smart growth, regional collaboration, and/or advancing equity in the region, always receive preference.  Continue reading
