MassDOT Seeking Applications for New Position: Statewide Mobility Manager

MassDOT has received a two-year grant from the Federal Transit Administration to pilot a Statewide Mobility Management program. MassDOT Rail & Transit is looking to hire a Statewide Mobility Manager to lead this work.

This grant-funded position is funded from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2026. This position reports to the Manager of Grant Programs and Mobility Management in the Transit Unit of the Rail & Transit Division.

The Statewide Mobility Manager will lead an effort to implement the next steps of the Regional Mobility Manager study MassDOT conducted in 2023, including identifying long-term funding, defining regions, working with partners to finalize and implement a plan for how to hire and host Regional Mobility Managers, and setting up networking opportunities to facilitate cross-regional travel and learning among Regional Mobility Managers.

The position will also plan and run a Massachusetts Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility (MA-CCAM), modeled on the national Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility.
